| Like many large museums,
the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium have a communication and promotion
department. This department was set up in 1992 and is responsible for public
relations in general, the press service, seeking sponsors, partners or patrons
as well as promoting permanent collections and temporary exhibitions. It
co-ordinates the numerous events which the museums organise with increasing
frequency, namely concerts, seminars, private evenings organised by companies
for their business relations, or by international congresses, to welcome
their participants or conclude their work.
