The Educational Department welcomes visitors to the Museum of Ancient Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Wiertz Museum and the Meunier Museum. Its aim is to establish an active relationship between the museum and its visitors, whether they are children, teenagers or adults: whatever a visitor's age, a guided tour is a living dialogue with the work of art.

The starting point for the discovery of the museum is based on a theme chosen by the group leader. These This theme can give priority to a purely plastic arts approach (form, colour, volume, etc.), an approach based on observation (nature in art, the human body, the five senses, the costume, etc...), opening horizons to imagination (mythology, symbolism, surrealism, etc.) or alternatively, an initiation to the history of art (a painting, a sculpture can be landmarks in history). Without excluding the educational aspect, the creative programme or the workshop are ways of developing the visitoršs creativity, initiative and sensitivity.

Guided tours, workshops, creative programmes, "a family visit to the museum", all are approaches designed to grasp the essentials of the work of art. By reservation only.
